Our first Covid-19 vaccination clinic was held this week. We are encouraged by the residents and staff who chose to participate. While the first dose offers some protections, the full-efficacy rate of approximately 95% will not be achieved until two weeks after the second dose. The second vaccine clinic is currently scheduled for Monday, January 25th. New residents and staff will be given the opportunity to get their first vaccine at that time, dependent on supplies.

In our continued testing of residents and staff, we have received one further positive test result for an employee. We have two residents and three employees with positive test results for Covid-19. All employees who test positive remain off-site until considered recovered by CDC guidelines. We will continue with routine monitoring of residents and notify primary contacts directly if their loved one exhibits symptoms or receives positive test results.
